Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you play a role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Youare responsible formeticulously cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and storing all reusable surgical instruments. Furthermore, you are instrumental in providing all necessary instruments for surgery and other hospital departments. Your dedication and attention to detail are vital in delivering the highest standard of care. Thank you for your invaluable contribution to our team.

What you will do in this role: 
• You will prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing, and storing procedures. 
• You will understand principles of sterilization techniques andoperatesterilization equipment. 
• You will assemble all instruments, trays, and drill drays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures. 
• You will perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance. 
• You will perform crash cart restocking/exchange. 
• You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment asrequired. 

What qualifications you will need:
• Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPDrequired 
• Prior related experience preferred
