Certification Head

Suminter India Organics is seeking a full-time Certification Head based in Mumbai. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region for a Certification Head. The Certification Head will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all farm production and processes comply with international organic certification standards. The role includes managing certification processes, coordinating with certification bodies, conducting internal audits, providing training to farmers, and maintaining detailed records and documentation. The Certification Head will also ensure the continuous improvement of organic farming practices and compliance with Fair Trade standards.

Should have experience of ICS Certification- Tracenet stock closing, CB TC Approval. inward processing and handling

Export certification, sampling , lab followup, CB followup.,Export Manufacturing

Sustainable certification

● To have knowledge of various regulations under NPOP, USDA-NOP, GOTS, OCS (additional FT & ROC also).

● To set up the new certification for newly registered ICS, trader, ginner.

● To take care of the entire certification & documentation as per the various certification requirements.

● To understand the traceability from farm to export.

● To follow up & arrange the third-party inspection, certification for the entire supply chain.

● To be able to coordinate with the procurement & production team.

● Liaising & coordination with Laboratories regarding test reports handling.

● To handle & maintain the organic integrity in the respect to domestic & export transactions certificate of ICS, process & traders on various regulations.

● To maintain & coordination with the farmers, ICS staff & Magt. team with respect to certification activities.

● Preparation of certification documents & setting objectives & goal for the certifications.

Qualifications
• Strong understanding and experience with international organic certification standards
• Experience in conducting internal audits and managing documentation
• Ability to coordinate with certification bodies and manage certification processes
• Excellent training and communication skills to work effectively with small farmers
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for monitoring and documentation
• Background in agriculture or organic farming is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field
