We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Center Pivot Technician to lead our center pivot irrigation installation projects across Zambia. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about precision agriculture and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the installation of center pivot irrigation systems from planning through completion
• Supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and logistics on site
• Conduct pre-installation site assessments and ensure layout compliance
• Handle technical troubleshooting, alignment, and calibration of pivot systems
• Coordinate procurement of tools, parts, and materials related to pivot installations
• Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained on-site
• Provide technical reports and installation documentation
• Train junior technicians and farm personnel on system operation and basic maintenance
• Communicate progress regularly with the COO and project stakeholders
Requirements:
• Proven experience in center pivot irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Ability to read technical schematics and site layout plans
• Team leadership or foreman experience in construction or agricultural projects
• Willingness to travel to farms and rural sites across Zambia
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work under minimal supervision
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical diploma or degree in Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Experience with Valley, Reinke, Zimmatic, or other major pivot brands
