Job Description

Federation University Australia is hiring Casual Food and Beverage Attendants for their Berwick Campus in Ballarat, VIC. The role involves providing customer service, managing POS systems, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food preparation. About the role

You will form part of a team providing professional and friendly customer support within our food and retail services at Federation University, Berwick Campus. You will interact with a diverse range of internal and external clients and visitors within our food and retail space covering a range of functions.

You will:
• provide customer service of food and beverages;
• manage the POS and be familiar with POS system procedures;
• maintain the cleanliness of the workplace to ensure both customer and staff safety;
• accept deliveries and put away stock;
• prepare basic food items for sale; and
• assist with preparation and set up of catering jobs.

About you

You will work independently as well as part of a team and to tight time frames. You will possess the necessary prioritisation skills and ensure completion of appropriate tasks within tight, fast paced timelines with good accurate attention to detail.

You will possess:
• a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is desirable;
• demonstrated experience in handling food and cleaning commercial kitchens;
• ability to work individually and as part of a team;
• demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service to customers; and
• ability to work during the academic year semesters.

All University positions delivering education and/or services to children must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
