Carbon Accounting & Reporting Manager

Join our Strategy & Regulation function in Yorkshire Water as a permanent, full-time Carbon Accounting & Reporting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own carbon accounting and reporting activities, driving progress across the business.
• Engage key data owners to improve data quality and ensure timely and accurate reporting of greenhouse gas emissions.
• Analyse data and compile operational carbon footprint, building forecast scenarios and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Develop detailed, costed carbon reduction plans aligned to external best practice.

Requirements:
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (Science or Accounting).
• Substantial expertise in designing/critiquing accounting processes and controls.
• Recognised accounting qualification and interest in sustainability.
• Knowledge of carbon accounting standards, sustainability legislation, management issues and best practices.

Working Arrangement:

We offer a hybrid setup, requiring 1-2 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more for collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines.
