Associated Bank is seeking a Capital Markets Trading Associate Senior in Green Bay, WI. The role involves providing expertise in Currency, Interest Rate, and Energy Markets, delivering market commentary, pricing models, and managing post-trade processes. Responsibilities include pricing and trading support, risk control for a significant swap book, and developing relationships with market makers. The position requires collaboration with various teams and mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, responsible for working with level I, II, and Team Lead colleagues to provide expert understanding of fundamental and technical aspects of Currency, Interest Rate and Energy Markets activities and practices, timely, relevant and in-depth market commentary to Capital Market Sales Team members and other Bank colleagues, expertise with pricing models and venues used in the Currency, Interest Rate and Energy Markets for internal use in particular:
• Single Bank and Multi-Bank FX (Foreign Exchange) execution platforms for spot, forward, swaps and FX options transactions
• pricing Energy Options and Swaps using Bloomberg and other financial modeling providers, pricing Interest Rate Swaps and Swaptions using Bloomberg, Chatham, and other financial modeling providers.
• in depth understanding of process flows surrounding post-trade systems deal entry, deal tracking, nostro balance management, and other day to day tasks.

Additionally, provides tradable pricing to sales teams for all Asset classes, is responsible to profitably liquidate transaction with upstream counterparties in all asset classes, develops new sources of liquidity relationships with agreement of Trading Team lead and other stakeholders, provide mentoring to level I and II colleagues.

This position is also responsible to liaise (when required) with Middle Office, Back Office, and Risk Management to ensure proper trade and documentary flow, answering trade inquiries (when required) emanating from internal Capital Markets sales teams, Middle Office, Back Office, and Risk Management and external liquidity providers, providing strategic input for improvements in Capital Markets trading team activities, partnering with Capital Markets Team Leader in providing a blue-print for strategic growth, and providing a leadership example to other trading colleagues. Demonstrated ability to explain process flows to other internal stakeholders is required to be successful in this role.

Job Accountabilities

Pricing/Trading
• provide accurate and timely indicative and real-time pricing to FX, Swap and Commodity sales force
• ensure proper risk controls for existing and growing $2,000,000,000 swap book, 100+ trade per day FX business, and Commodity Derivatives desk
• identify and fully develop upstream counterparty market makers for FX, Rate Swaps, and Commodity Derivatives
• ensure the team has thorough knowledge of all spot, forward, NDF, option and structured option (collars, floors, caps, par options, basis pricing, etc) for FX, Rate Swaps, and Commodities
• provide pricing support to a team of sales people meeting their needs on a timely, accurate basis, sourcing the best wholesale market price through developed upstream relationships, to maximize revenue spread potential.

Administration
• ensure all bank policies within Capital Markets are being met, such as intraday risk limits, overnight risk limits
• review trade confirmations (3-eye check) to ensure accuracy
• ensure all BSA/compliance and regulatory requirements within FX, Interest Rate Swaps and Commodity Derivatives are met
• verify all marked-to-market revaluation rates used at each day's end.

Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank in the marketplace.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting Required

Experience

12-15 years Corporate banking and capital markets. Technical knowledge of interest rate hedging products. Experience in and understanding of capital markets and economic cycles. Prior experience dealing with transactions from $2,000,000 to $100,000,000. Required
