The Available Graduate Positions Are Supervised By Professor Manju Misra And Professor Amar Mohanty, Both Internationally Recognized Leaders In Sustainable Materials Research. As Part Of a Vibrant And Interdisciplinary Team At The BDDC, Successful Candidates Will Engage In Cutting-edge Projects Such As

– Polymer and composite processing technologies (including blown and cast film extrusion, twin screw extrusion, injection and compression molding, thermoforming)

– Biocomposites and natural fiber composites for lightweight automotive and electric vehicle applications

– Research on the sustainability and circularity of plastics

– Development of biodegradable flexible packaging films

– Plastic additive manufacturing using FDM and SLS technologies

– Polymer modification and blending

– Studies on recyclability, durability, and biodegradability of plastics and composites

– Creation of value-added materials from agro-forestry waste

– Application of AI and machine learning to optimize material formulations and processing

– Development of microplastic and PFAS-free single-use alternatives
