Job Description

Chloeta is seeking a Call When Needed Mitigation Technician III in Oklahoma to engage in wildfire prevention and mitigation for commercial clients. Responsibilities include tool maintenance, worksite staging, homeowner assessments, and data collection. This seasonal role requires significant travel (75%+) and operates on a variable schedule. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be proficient with technology. Compensation is $20.00-$21.00 per hour.
Job Summary

A Call When Needed Mitigation Technician III at Chloeta will participate in wildfire prevention and mitigation services for commercial clients. This role is primarily focused on prevention and mitigation services. Mitigation Technicians will work on projects such as basic tool maintenance, worksite staging, homeowner assessments and data collection.

Based on field availability, Call When Needed Mitigation Technicians may be requested to take varying assignment lengths, ranging from 7 to 21 days on an as-needed, month-to-month basis.

Duty Station: Business travel is initiated from residence of record

Travel: 75% or more of the time

Compensation:

This pay band reflects Chloeta’s good faith estimate of the range it expects to offer; Chloeta reserves the right to alter this range if business circumstances change.
• $20.00-$21.00 per hour

Duties/Responsibilities
• Provides services in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as agency-specific guidance.
• Prioritize assigned client sites and conduct mitigation services such as removing or manipulating vegetation and conducting home hardening prevention measures.
• Conduct daily data collection on assigned locations and accurately enter the information into company databases.
• Receive and execute daily work assignments from supervisors.
• Respond to assigned worksites with their co-workers in a timely, safe and skilled manner.
• Maintain accurate daily time documentation.
• Maintain company-issued equipment to uphold and present a professional image of the company.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and in strict adherence to both legal regulations and company policies.
• Follow established Company procedure when responding to worksites.
• Utilize all assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment promptly and correctly.
• Assist in the routine maintenance and minor repairs of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure they remain in good operating and safe condition.
• Maintain a positive working environment and strive to exceed the company and client’s needs.
• Serve as a positive example, representing both the company and self with the highest standards in all interactions.

Required Skills/Abilities
• Must be proficient in utilizing technology such as computers and tablets/iPads.
• Must have a current/valid State Issued Driver License (DL) in order to operate vehicle and a minimum of 3 years driving history.
• A current/valid real ID Driver's license or active passport is needed to travel to certain assignment via airplane
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with DOT and company standards and pass insurance required record check throughout the duration of employment.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• A current national DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification, verified by the FMCSA.
• Completed training courses (available online): ICS-100, IS-700, IS-800, L-180, S-130 and S-190, RT-130, S-131, PMS 311-14 or FFT1 PTB.
• May be subject to on-call duties.

Required Education/Experience
• Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred: Previous wildland fire/forestry experience

Physical Requirements
• Ability to meet physical fitness requirements to complete the essential functions of the position: (Complete a 3-mile walk wearing a 45-pound pack in less than 45 minutes)
• Must maintain a current national DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification, verified by the FMCSA throughout the duration of employment.
• Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 60 lbs.
• May be asked to work nights, weekends and holidays within short notice.
• This role requires quick turn around responses and employees must live within close distance to an operational airport.

Pre-employment Requirements

Due to the nature of Chloeta’s services, this position is contingent upon completing with a satisfactory outcome some or all of the following pre-employment background screenings: government security clearance, federal and state criminal background checks, drug test (urinalysis), Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, educational history, employment history, and/or credit check. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), pre-employment background screenings will require the employee’s written authorization and will occur after acceptance of an offer of employment and prior to commencing work. Additionally, employees are required to complete the federal I-9/E-Verify process.

Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy

Employees may be subject to undergoing additional drug screens and/or alcohol testing at any time during the period of employment, including without prior notice.
