About this Role

Counterpointe Sustainable Real Estate is seeking a motivated CRE Research Associate to join its Research Team. This role is essential in providing insights to prospective clients and internal stakeholders, using data and analysis to drive business decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for offering detailed market insights and conducting due diligence. The Research Associate will play a critical role in maintaining databases and preparing business memos, PowerPoint presentations, and other communication materials. The position requires the ability to closely follow markets and trends relevant to sustainable finance while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
• Become a subject matter expert in dedicated areas.
• Support originations and asset management with deal inquiries and select due diligence.
• Canvas and share relevant news, policies, and data insights.
• Build a library of information and resources through research.
• Maintain, validate, and update databases and portfolio analytics.
• Track sustainable finance metrics, standards, and guidelines.
• Develop content for clients, rating agencies, and marketing.
• Author publications, reports, and blogs.
• Initiate and create new research projects and tools.
• Thorough proofreading and verification of deliverables.

Requirements
• M.B.A. or B.A. with excellent credentials or commensurate experience.
• Three years of relevant work experience in research, underwriting, or financial institutions.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate or energy finance.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Inquisitive mindset and ability to learn quickly.
