About the position
Environmental Restoration, LLC is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Virginia. This position is crucial for assisting with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials. Our commitment to health and safety is encapsulated in our PROS initiative: Pause, Review, Observe, Start, which emphasizes the importance of safety in all operations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing both non-emergency and emergency response activities that involve biological and chemical materials. The job requires physical labor in various weather conditions and may involve working in confined spaces, low clearances, and at heights. You will operate both light and heavy equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, and pressure washers. Additionally, you must be available for emergency response work after hours and on weekends, ensuring that we can respond promptly to any urgent situations. We are looking for candidates who have a strong driving record and a minimum of three years of verifiable experience operating a vehicle that requires a CDL. While a Class B CDL is required, a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements is preferred. Candidates must also be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam. The ability to work on an on-call basis and in a physically intensive role is essential, as is the capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Experience in environmental work, hazardous waste management, and heavy equipment operation is a plus, as is certification such as OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER.
Responsibilities
• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following PROS - Pause, Review, Observe, Start
,
• Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities that deal with biological and chemical materials
,
• Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift
,
• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights
,
• Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washer
,
• Available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends
,
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
,
• Maintains an excellent driving record
Requirements
• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience safely operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
,
• A minimum of a Class B CDL; Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsement preferred
,
• Pass a Pre-Employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam
,
• Legally eligible to work in the United States (Verified through E-Verify)
,
• Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification
,
• Ability to work on an on-call basis as business needs require
,
• Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role
,
• Ability to work in confined spaces
,
• Ability to wear a respirator
,
• Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds

• Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments
