About the position

Environmental Restoration, LLC is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Virginia. This position is crucial for assisting with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials. In this role, you will be responsible for performing both non-emergency and emergency response activities that involve biological and chemical materials. The job requires physical labor in various weather conditions and may involve working in confined spaces, low clearances, and at heights. You will operate both light and heavy equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, and pressure washers. Additionally, you must be available for emergency response work after hours and on weekends, ensuring that we can respond promptly to any urgent situations. We are looking for candidates who have a strong driving record and a minimum of three years of verifiable experience operating a vehicle that requires a CDL. While a Class B CDL is required, a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements is preferred. Candidates must also be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam. The ability to work on an on-call basis and in a physically intensive role is essential, as is the capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Experience in environmental work, hazardous waste management, and heavy equipment operation is a plus, as is certification such as OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER.

Responsibilities

• Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift

• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights

• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment

• Maintains an excellent driving record

Requirements
• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience safely operating a vehicle requiring a CDL

• A minimum of a Class B CDL; Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsement preferred

• Pass a Pre-Employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam

• Legally eligible to work in the United States (Verified through E-Verify)

• Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification
