Job Summary of CDL A Local Transport Drive:

Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Local Transport Drive:
• Carry out daily deliveries with regular stops, moving packages onto hand carts and unloading them at each drop-off location.
• Obtain a truck laden with goods from the designated loading location and exchange it for the empty truck after the route is finished.
• Aid in the loading of trucks, organizing products on pallets, and executing other designated duties.
• Meet or surpass designated route schedules by operating in a highly efficient manner.
• Place products in customer storage areas by either manual handling or with the assistance of a hand cart.
• Regularly transport goods that vary in weight from 1 to 75 pounds, with the possibility of handling items up to 100 pounds.
• Confirm shipments with clients, collect signatures, and document any discrepancies.
• Handle customer grievances in a professional manner and ensure that any disruptions in the delivery process are communicated clearly to customers.
• Safely handle company machinery, adhere to safety regulations, and complete pre and post-trip evaluations.

Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Local Transport Drive:
• The required age for involvement is 21 years or above.
• The criteria call for a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a flawless driving history.
• Skill in English language literacy, writing proficiency, and communication fluency.
• Being able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test is a requirement for the position.
• Proficient in the physical tasks of lifting, pushing, or moving goods weighing around 40-60 pounds, with the capacity to handle items up to 100 pounds.
• Willing to adapt availability to include overtime, weekend hours, and holiday shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Having one year of customer delivery experience is advantageous for applicants.
• Candidates with at least 6 months of prior hand cart/hand truck experience are preferred.
• Preferential consideration will be given to applicants who have spent 6 months working within the food and beverage industry.
• Two years of continuous employment is preferred.
