Job Description
The State of Oklahoma is hiring a full-time Business Project Manager in Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves overseeing projects, coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring timely completion within budget. Key responsibilities include tactical planning, communication, scope management, and risk analysis. The position offers generous leave and a salary up to $90,000 based on experience. This is an on-site position with occasional travel required.

Position Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing and managing projects that align with an organization's business goals. This role involves coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Job Details
• Full-time 40-hour work weeks
• Support the Information Services Division
• Salary is up to $90,000.00 based on education and experience.
• This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for overall tactical planning, implementation, and leadership for projects.
• Excellent clear and concise verbal and written communication, including summaries, and executive level presentations.
• Collect and analyze project requirements, define scope, create work breakdown structures, and verify and control scope of projects and budget.
• Create and maintain project plan by defining activities and sequence of activities, gathering estimates from resources and durations, and developing and monitoring schedules.
• Maintain and update project information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, schedules, funding, CBA, ROI, Cost recovery and performance, and staffing.
• Plan, monitor, and control project work, perform scope change and re-baselining tracking and delivery along with close out activities.
• Utilize project management tools for task tracking, reporting status, financial tracking, and resource utilization reporting.
• Determine budgets and schedule based on estimates and durations gathered, and control costs and timelines.
• Develop plans for quality of product and project, perform quality assurance and quality control, and ensure product quality and acceptance.
• Identify stakeholders, develop, and implement the communication plan, distribute project information, manage stakeholder communications, lead all change management activities and report performance of the project.
• Develop the risk management plan, identify risks, perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, develop risk responses, and monitor and control the project risks.
• Plan, conduct, and administer procurements for the project, utilizing state procurement staff and policies.
• Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage based on defined success metrics. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, and standards are met.
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and leadership.
• Skillfully handles risks, issues, and blockers to create positive outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, Program/Project Management, Leadership, Public Administration, or related field demonstrating experience in concepts relative to the positions and two years of applicable project management experience.
Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who Possess
• Experience with Service Now
• Agile certification
• Scrum Certification
• Greenbelt, Blackbelt or Lean certification
