Climate X is seeking a Business Development Representative (German or French speaking) to enhance their sales pipeline for their climate adaptation SaaS product, Spectra. The role involves prospecting, qualifying leads, and supporting sales efforts in the UK and EU markets. Ideal candidates should have experience in business development for tech products, strong communication skills, and be motivated to succeed in climate tech sales.

Climate X is a purpose-driven climate adaptation data company set to revolutionise how the world manages assets, property, and infrastructure.
We apply cutting-edge, peer-reviewed science to help prevent the worst impacts of climate change. We combine climate projections, remote sensing observations, and modelling to project the frequency and severity of physical climate risks such as floods, subsidence, storms, etc.
Our SaaS platform lets financial institutions and real estate firms look at future climate pathways to:
• help identify how property/company assets could be damaged by severe weather events and
• what that damage might do to the asset valuations.
• become more resilient to climate change and make smarter investment and lending decisions.

The impact you’ll own
As Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in driving our sales pipeline for our SaaS product, Spectra, into financial services and real estate clients in the UK and EU markets. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings for our sales team. You will qualify opportunities from our marketing team and support inbound sales in addition to your own outbound drive.

Essential Skills
• Previous experience in new business development and lead generation for a technology/SaaS product.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with prospects effectively.
• Highly motivated, self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a desire to exceed targets.
• Working proficiency in English is required, along with working proficiency in German (preferred) and/or French.
Desirable Skills
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales prospecting tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
