Job Description

Argus Waste Recycling is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager in Dandenong, VIC. The role involves engaging with clients, driving sales growth, and executing marketing strategies, particularly in the Liquid Waste sector. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in business development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build client relationships. A diploma or degree is preferred, and a driver's license is required.
Argus Waste Recycling is an independently Australian owned and run company. It is EPA licensed for waste recovery, processing, recycling and resource recovery of a range of prescribed industrial wastes. We process and recycle all wastes transported to our purpose-built waste recycling facility.

Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are looking for a Business Development Manager, preferably with experience in the Liquid Waste sector, to join our dynamic team of experts. This role is permanent, full-time and will be based in Dandenong South.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice and solutions
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients to drive sales growth and increase market share
• Strategically plan and manage client visits to optimise sales opportunities and foster long-term partnerships
• Exceed monthly sales targets and budgets by delivering compelling sales presentations, accurate quotes, and effective closing techniques
• Utilise sound judgement and technical expertise to address client inquiries and tailor services to meet their specific requirements
• Drive market expansion and business growth by developing and executing targeted marketing strategies
• Demonstrate unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions and endeavours

The successful applicant must have:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business development / sales role
• Industry experience within industrial liquid waste/bulk liquid waste and contract management is essential
• A diploma or degree level of education is desirable
• Ability to build rapport and network with industry personnel and prospective clients
• Ability to analyse and interpret information related to specific jobs
• Outstanding customer service, communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals / groups
• Patient attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
• Driver's License
• Full Australian Working Rights
