Experience: 3 to 10 years

Travel: 3-4 days/week for in-person customer meetings; 1-2 times per month overnight travel

About the Team

The Sales Team is on the lookout for a passionate Business Development Manager. This role involves being in the field 3-4 days a week engaging with architects, designers, and key contractors in the Pacific Northwest Region. Our team includes Regional Business Development Managers, Specifier Advisors, Project Contractor Advisors, and Project Estimators, all collaborating to coordinate and manage large-scale projects.

About the Role

This dynamic role is ideal for someone eager to blend education, engagement, and relationship-building with designers. As a Business Development Manager, you will develop, manage, and enhance the brand and product awareness of Tournesol Siteworks among contract design and commercial segments. Your focus will be on identifying, pursuing, and boosting sales while fostering brand loyalty through personal interactions with architects, designers, builders, and developers. This is a technical sales position that supports designers who use Tournesol products in their projects. You’ll interact with exceptional industry firms and engage on exciting projects while having the autonomy to set your schedule and achieve consistent progress in your territory. Your base will be your home office, with regular travel throughout the territory and occasional visits to our manufacturing facilities located in Union City, CA; El Paso, TX; and Port Orchard, WA. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving our primary goal of successful projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Establish and nurture relationships with specifiers.
• Deliver formal presentations to architects, designers, and targeted organizations to drive product specifications.
• Assist key Landscape Contractors with design and pricing support as necessary.
• Provide technical sales support to design customers while understanding the construction market.
• Represent Tournesol through local chapter events and other relevant associations.
• Develop project opportunities via personal sales efforts and professional networking.
• Provide accurate market feedback to identify trends and assist with product development needs.
• Maintain up-to-date records in Salesforce CRM regarding relationships, projects, and products.
• Collaborate with other teams to update sales materials and technical product data.
• Travel as required to support business objectives.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets, with salaries varying based on location, tenure, and job-related experience. The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 annually.
