Job Description:
Lee County Government is seeking an experienced Traffic Technician II to join our Highway Infrastructure Maintenance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on Lee County bridges and street lighting systems.

About the Position:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical trade and/or motor control, with a minimum of two years of experience in this field. You will work closely with our team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our highway infrastructure, utilizing your technical expertise to diagnose and repair issues.

Responsibilities:
• Installation, service, overhaul, and repair of all sizes of mechanical items, including pumps, motors, generators, bridge gates, and associated bridge fender and navigational lighting
• Repair and replacement of street lights and street light power centers
• May assist traffic signal technicians
• Occasionally serve as crew leader when needed

Requirements:
• Requires any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED and two (2) years of experience in motor control, electrical trade and/or a closely related field
• Possession of IMOT and Level I Roadway Lighting IMSA certification within six (6) months of hire date
• Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Learners Permit and an acceptable driving record at the time of offer with the ability to obtain a valid Class B CDL with Air Brakes endorsement within six (6) months of the hire date
