Bill of Materials (BOM) - Engineer

Fluence is seeking a Bill of Materials (BOM) Engineer in Bengaluru, India. The role involves creating and managing BOMs, handling change control, and supporting engineering during product development. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5-8 years of experience with BOMs and PLM tools, and strong stakeholder management skills. The position is full-time and remote.

Role and Responsibilities
• Responsible for creating Parts and managing the bill of of Materials in the system.
• Responsible for the maintaining the records of changes and reporting to the organization.
• Responsible for handling change control.
• Become fully competent in using the Bill of Materials maintenance and reports in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Become proficient in setting up new options and/or create rules to support various build configurations.
• Assist Purchasing and Engineering as needed in building and/or troubleshooting BOM costs.
• Support engineering and prototype staff during the design and prototype phase of new product development
• Maintain and improve the cost accounting system; ensure procedures are followed for item cost maintenance.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate Engineering drawings and production documentation
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure content of BOM / Timing is always up to date.
• Case handling of Engineering changes across various phases in the value chain
• Reporting
• Prepare executive summaries and escalate issues.Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical any suitable)
• Work experience 5 to 8 years.
• Had involved in developing and creating the Bill of Materials from the Scratch.
• Exposure to the Battery storage solution is preferable.
• Experience in working in various different team Zones and Global stake holder
• 3+ years relevant experience with PLM tools and processes and Bill of Materials, proven experience managing complex stakeholder requirements and relationships.
• Technical knowledge of product structure and processes, understanding of BOM, PLM, Windshield, Open Bom tools.
• Essential knowledge about the Instrumentation, Electrical components.
• Skillsets: Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, excellent communication skills, Attention to the details, Problem solving skills. Strong work ethic and a commitment to engineering excellence and data-driven decision making. Works well on projects on their own as well as with a team, able to clearly communicate ideas.
