About the Role: We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Infra-Rec. In this key position, you'll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, with a focus on substations. This exciting opportunity involves managing all aspects of project development, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
• Project Planning & Scheduling:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, covering scope, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Establish and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
• Budget & Financial Management:
• Manage project finances, monitor spending, and forecast financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and safety.
• Prepare regular financial and progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with their expectations.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders on project progress.
• Risk Management & Problem-Solving:
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively address issues that arise during the project lifecycle, minimizing impact on cost and timelines.
• Implement corrective actions to address project delays or performance issues.
• Quality & Safety Assurance:
• Ensure all projects meet industry and company standards for quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to promote a culture of safety on site.
• Oversee commissioning and final inspections, verifying systems are properly tested and functional.
• Team Leadership & Coordination:
• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure clear communication and coordination among all team members.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Key Requirements:
• Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in project management within the energy, utility, or construction sectors.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale battery storage or substation projects from conception to completion.
• Experience with BESS, substations, and renewable energy technologies is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and scheduling tools.
• Familiarity with electrical and civil engineering principles related to energy infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Certifications:
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar is preferred.
• OSHA 30 or other relevant safety certifications.
Working Conditions:
• This position may require travel to project sites.
• Some projects may involve working in remote or challenging environments.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
