Job Description

Solar States is hiring a full-time Solar Battery Installer in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves installing and maintaining solar battery storage systems for residential and commercial clients, conducting assessments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Candidates should have experience in solar battery installation and electrical work, along with a valid driver's license. Solar States is looking for an experienced Solar Battery Installer. As a Solar Battery Installer at Solar States you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of solar battery storage systems for residential and commercial clients. You will work alongside a dynamic team of professionals to deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site assessments to determine the suitability of solar battery installations.
• Install solar battery systems, including mounting solar panels, connecting electrical components, and configuring batteries.
• Integrate battery storage systems with existing solar PV arrays and electrical systems.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide customer education on system operation and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during installations.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize installation processes and efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, products, and technologies related to solar battery systems.
• Valid driver’s license

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical or renewable energy-related certifications a plus.
• Proven experience in solar battery installation and electrical work.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems, battery technologies, and associated components.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability
• at least 6 months of battery installation experience

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
• NABCEP certification
• Enphase Battery Installation Certifications
• Tesla Installer Certification
• Proficient with computers
• 1 year electrical experience
