Job Description

NES Fircroft is hiring a Banking Analyst for a 12-month contract in Perth CBD, Western Australia, with potential for extension. The role involves daily bank account reconciliation, processing transactions, preparing journals, ensuring SOX compliance, and collaborating with finance teams. Candidates should have 2-3 years of relevant experience and a degree in Finance or related fields. Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA is desired, and full AU working rights are required.
Our client, Woodside are seeking a Banking analyst to join the team on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role will be based in Perth CBD.

About the Role:
The role will report to the Corporate Manager for banking and be a member of the Corporate Banking team. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day reconciliation and processing of accounting entries for bank accounts spanning across Woodside’s international footprint. This role works in conjunction with other finance teams and the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Banking team, in delivery of the following key processes, on an as required basis:
• Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily basis
• Processing of bank transactions
• Preparation of general journals and period-close activities
• SOX control compliance and testing
• Review and manage bank refunds and returns
• Assist the Business, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams with payment queries
• Investigate transactions and liaise with the banks
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations including preparing balance sheet commentary
• Manage audit requests
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Skills & Experience:
What we expect from you:
• 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Working towards CA / CPA qualification (desired)
• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and BlackLine (desired)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills,
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and with various stakeholders.
• Problem solving and improvement mindset, able to investigate issues and find effective solutions
• Full AU working rights are required*
