BESS Solar Electrician

Ameresco is seeking a BESS Solar Electrician for its Lake, MS location, offering a pay rate of $45-$55 per hour and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining solar equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and training apprentices. Candidates must hold an Arizona A-17 and C-11 Commercial Electrician License, have at least two years of experience, and possess a valid driver's license. Knowledge of solar PV systems is a plus. Ameresco’s Operations & Maintenance Group has a new opportunity for an BESS Solar Electrician in the Lake Havasu, AZ area experienced with inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining a new BESS facility that will be up and running soon

The pay rate for this position is $45-$55 per hour

We are offering a $5,000 sign on bonus

Job Responsibilities:
• Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
• Reads and interprets instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.
• Completes written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
• Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians/coworkers to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Current Arizona A-17 License
• Current C-11 Commercial Electrician License
• Minimum of 2 years experience of industrial solar electric/electronic maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment.
• Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Qualifications:
• Knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.
• Knowledge of Solar PV a plus.
• Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time with hands and arms at heights to install and troubleshoot equipment.
• OSHA training and certification preferred.
• Travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
