Position Overview:

As a Project Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, you will oversee the development, execution, and successful completion of BESS installations, from initial planning through commissioning. This role requires a balance of technical knowledge, project management skills, and experience in the renewable energy sector to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for BESS projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and organizational goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and effective collaboration throughout each project phase.
• Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, and construction crews, to optimize resource use and drive project milestones.
• Ensure all BESS projects meet industry standards and comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to safety, environmental impact, and renewable energy.
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage contingencies to maintain project continuity.
• Monitor project quality standards and conduct regular inspections to ensure high-performance outcomes and adherence to best practices in BESS installation.
• Provide timely updates to senior management, maintain accurate project documentation, and prepare reports on project progress, risks, and financial performance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale renewable energy and high voltage EPC projects, with 10+ years experience.
• Solid understanding of battery storage systems, electrical engineering principles, and renewable energy technologies.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate with and present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.
• Able to manage high performance engineering and construction team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
