Capgemini is seeking a Business Analyst for Climate Risk in Mississauga, ON. The role involves supporting Enterprise Risk Technology projects, focusing on data sourcing and framework development for Climate Risk metrics. Responsibilities include business analysis, documentation of requirements, and collaboration with development and QA teams. Job Title: Business Analyst – Climate RishJob location: Toronto, OntarioJob description:This is an experienced business and data analyst role focused on supporting Enterprise Risk Technology Portfolio of Projects. Projects support and seek to modernize several application and systems primarily in the Enterprise Risk areas and in the areas of Emerging Risks and other Initiatives. Emerging Risks Initiatives include a Strategic Climate Risk implementation. Climate Risk Implementation involves strategic sourcing of data from multiple data sources, building a framework for storing this data and making the data available to a data modeling environment from which various Climate risk metrics are calculated for Internal Management and Regulatory purposes.You will handle business analysis aspects of IT delivery for Climate Risk with focus on delivering data and functional specifications documents, excel prototypes of data processing and providing walkthrough of the detailed business requirements to Dev and QA teams. Responsibilities: Develop detailed understanding of current state including data feeds required for Enterprise Risk Engines and ReportingUnderstand changes required in current state to support the future strategic platform for Client platformUnderstand new Data sources for a range of (PCAF) Asset Classes – Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Sovereign Debt, Project Finance, Listed Equity and Corporate Bonds, Business Loans and unlisted EquitiesMap and provide rules for the transformation of data from multiple sources into standardized data feeds required for the Climate Risk enginesWork closely with business users to understand business requirements and demo system functionalityPrepare high level and detailed requirements and specifications for the project in accordance with SDLC objectivesEfficiently perform business analysis tasks including documentation of requirements, data analysis and UATWork closely with development team, explain the requirements, validate the design assumptions for various business scenarios and testingSupport QA/Business team in creation of UAT test cases against business requirements Required Skills:Experience working on Risk Data projects (Agile methodologies) sourcing standardization and aggregation of risk in one of the functional risk areas such as Counterparty/Credit Risk Exposure to Banking Loan Book and other products Skills acquired in a market and/or counterparty risk management environment are transferable 10+ years previous work experience as a Business or Data Analyst or in a technical/functional Role Documentation skills: ability to succinctly articulate requirements summarize data analysis and present to business users and development team Strong data analysis skills are required including analyzing large data sets in using SQL queries and other modelling tools Producing and using Data Catalogues understanding data models and business process modeling Experience building enterprise scale applications involving large data volumes and computations Bachelor’s degree in Sciences Information Technology Computer Science or other quantitative discipline Nice to Have Good understanding of Climate Risk Initiatives Environmental Social and Governance investment policies & framework for financial institutions Professional risk/finance certifications (e.g. FRM PRM CFA)Use of Python Anaconda Pandas Jupiter and support of Developers working with a technology stack including Linux Hadoop Hive Spark and other big data technologies Understanding of financial Instruments including several types of Fixed Income and Equity Instruments and their valuation About Capgemini:Capgemini is a global leader in partnering with companies to transform and manage their business by harnessing the power of technology.
