Job Description

Tustin Chrysler Jeep Dodge is seeking a skilled Automotive Used Technician with experience in hybrid and electric vehicles. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems, communicating with service advisors, and maintaining a clean workspace. Compensation includes hourly pay, production bonuses, and various benefits. Candidates should have dealership experience, strong mechanical skills, and a customer service mentality. This position is located in Tustin, CA, and is not remote.
We are looking for an highly skilled automotive technician that is experience working on Hybrid and Electrical vehicles.

Compensation: The Used Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.00 and $65..00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. Additionally, this position may also pay a retention bonus of $1.25 per every booked hour.

Service Technician Responsibilities:
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer
• Look over all newly-shipped vehicles and check for any damage done by delivery
• Fill each new vehicle with gas, oil, and other fluids immediately following delivery
• Install any standard accessories not previously installed by manufacturer
• Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner
• Follows all company safety policies, operations and practices

Qualifications:
• Previous experience at an automotive dealership
• Highly Skilled in hybrid and electrical vehicles
• Strong understanding of the service drive
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Valid driver’s license and insurability by employer’s carrier
