With a strong pipeline of work and continued demand, an opportunity has arisen for an Associate Water Resources Management Specialist to join our Water Division. Our team are recognised experts in developing and navigating water policy, regulation, and licensing frameworks. We are also water scientists and engineers with experience across the government, energy, infrastructure, mining, irrigation, and community sectors. We have deep technical knowledge and collaborate across EMM to draw on the collective experience that intersects with water regulation and governance such as heritage, ecological, and land management disciplines.

• Your deep knowledge of NSW water policy and regulatory frameworks will allow you to effectively drive our offerings within the industry, shaping and streamlining the way we deliver projects whilst being able to think outside the box to offer innovative solutions.
• Your strong communication skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders from government agencies, peak bodies and industry clients providing input, advice and guidance to ensure projects are delivered within required regulations.
• You'll provide pathways through complex regulatory frameworks, identifying potential roadblocks and effective approval and compliance pathways for a variety of projects.
• With a national delivery ethos, you'll also have the opportunity to work on large-scale projects across Australia. Your expertise will make a difference from coast to coast.

Here's what you'll bring to have impact:
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a deep knowledge of NSW Water Policy and Regulatory Water Frameworks.
• Previous experience working within consultancy.
• Previous experience working within a government agency, or strong networks within relevant government agencies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a suitable relevant field.
• A strong scientific or engineering background and understanding of scientific and engineering principles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage your own time and priorities and work collaboratively in a team to meet project objectives in a deadline-driven work environment.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to knowledge share with all team members.
