About the position
The Associate Director of Climate Solutions at Corvias Group LLC is responsible for leading analyses and authoring reports across a diverse portfolio of water and climate policy initiatives. This role involves a combination of data analysis, technical assessments, and collaboration with external partners to address environmental, social, and economic challenges related to water infrastructure and climate resilience. The position aims to transform complex information into actionable insights and recommendations, while also engaging with various stakeholders to promote environmental justice and community engagement.
Responsibilities
• Conduct research and lead report writing for client projects and partners, including work with federal and state agencies, local and regional governments, community-based organizations, non-profit organizations and universities, and other groups.

• Review and understand technical assessments using hydrology/hydraulics models and design for storm sewer infrastructure.
,
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and present actionable recommendations to leaders.
,
• Facilitate information gathering and synthesis of critical policy-related data and information, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.

• Track and analyze existing and emerging water and climate regulations and programs.
,
• Identify and participate in industry working groups, associations, and collaborative networks to stay up to date, gather industry intel, and share CIS's work.

• Develop and manage an extensive network of contacts with water utilities, government agencies, and consulting and nonprofit partners.
,
• Support the supervisor in communicating our work via reports, presentations, website updates, blog posts, op-eds, and social media posts.
,
• Responsible for meeting operations including agenda creation, meeting facilitation, minutes, and follow-up tasks.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Planning, Policy, Community Development, or related field; Graduate degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

• Ten or more years of experience in municipal water utility management, state or federal level water policy, construction management, community engagement on water services, or related areas.

• Experience analyzing and interpreting data to make recommendations and drive business decisions.
,
• Demonstrable analytical ability to interpret and analyze data, identify trends, and use data to connect operational and administrative activities to overall business strategies.
,
• Proven abilities as a project manager with skills to manage projects, mentor interns, schedule deliverables, budgeting, and develop rapport with clients and team members.
,
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams.
,
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is required.

• Experience using data analysis and visualization software like Stata, R, Python, or ArcGIS preferred.
