Job Description
We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen.
As our new mid-level Civil Engineer, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

Here’s what else you’ll enjoy as part of our team:

• The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Manage small to medium built environment projects
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 1-2 junior staff members
• Collaboration: Work closely with other in-house disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
• Client Relations: Maintain existing client relationships and develop new ones
• Proposal Development: Create proposals for new work opportunities
• Quality Assurance: Provide quality, value-added technical work products
• Project Execution: Execute tasks on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards
• Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior staff
Qualifications/Education/Memberships:
• 4 to 8 years of professional experience as a Civil Engineer
• Broad experience in civil design including hydrology, hydraulics, site, roadway, erosion control, utility and grading plan with a focus on built environment projects
• Experience with project management
• Proficient with AutoCAD civil 3D, with focus on earthworks, grading, drainage, and containment structures (ponds, landfills, waste piles, etc.)
• Understanding of the municipal land use application process
• Experience in conducting site visits, construction quality assurance (CQA) and field investigations as necessary
• Strong communication and public speaking skills
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required
• FE/EIT is required
• PE is preferred, but on track to become licensed shortly is required
