About the position

The Connecticut Green Bank is seeking an Associate to join its Outreach team, focusing on contractor outreach for residential solar and energy storage contractors. The role aims to build strong relationships with contractors, support their utilization of Green Bank products, and enhance community engagement through effective communication and education. The Associate will play a crucial role in executing the Green Bank's outreach vision, which emphasizes trust, collaboration, and empowerment within the community.

Responsibilities
• Engage regularly with residential solar and storage contractors and industry groups.

• Recruit new contractors into the Smart-E Loan and Energy Storage Solutions programs and build strong relationships with them.

• Support efforts to build a more diverse contractor community.
,
• Assist in the development and delivery of contractor trainings for Smart-E Loan and Energy Storage Solutions program teams.
,
• Support programmatic communications related to contractor governance or process changes.
,
• Contribute to the overarching contractor outreach strategy, including communications, events, and engagement.
,
• Promote and execute the Green Bank's contractor co-branding program in coordination with program teams and Marketing & Outreach.
,
• Develop and execute community-based outreach campaigns to increase adoption of Green Bank products.
,
• Collect, analyze, and provide contractor feedback to relevant program and product development teams.
,
• Represent the Green Bank at events and speaking engagements.

Requirements
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience, particularly with residential solar or energy storage contractors.
,
• Experience working for a solar or energy efficiency contractor company or with contractors at an equipment distributor or financial institution offering energy lending.
,
• General knowledge of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs, with specific knowledge of Connecticut programs preferred.
,
• Ability to understand various energy-related technologies and financial products.
,
• Marketing skills or a desire to learn, especially in channel-based marketing and co-branding.
,
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
,
• Strong writing skills and effective communication abilities, both oral and written.
,
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment and initiative.
,
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
,
• Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software is a plus.
,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience working with energy financing programs is preferred.

• A bachelor's degree may substitute for four (4) years of general experience, with one (1) year of internship or full-time work experience.
