Associate / Senior Associate, Disputes & Investigations - Commercial Litigation

Allens is hiring an Associate/Senior Associate for their Disputes & Investigations - Commercial Litigation team in Sydney. The role involves working on complex, high-value disputes, including commercial and regulatory matters, corporate crime, and class actions. Candidates should have experience in commercial litigation and strong client management skills. Your role

You'll be a part of our band-1 Disputes & Investigations practice, working closely with our Partners and the wider team across all our offices. You will gain exposure to the most complex, high-value and significant matters in the Australian market, also frequently working on international disputes.

At Allens, our structure means you'll get exposure to a number of different Partners within your practice group and a wide variety of work and sectors. We encourage our lawyers to find their niche and specialise in areas they're interested in, while building a strong foundation across their field.

Your role within our team could typically include advising clients on;
• Commercial and contractual disputes
• Regulatory inquiries and investigations
• Corporate crime
• Internal investigations
• Royal Commissions / Commissions of Inquiry/coronial inquests
• Class actions
• Arbitration
• Projects disputes

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work however flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.

About You

You will have:
• Experience in commercial litigation within a large national or international law firm (we are also open to a combination of private practice and in-house experience);
• Ability to effectively manage larger matters, develop client relationships and participate in business development activities;
• A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others (dependent on your level).
