Associate / Senior Associate, Corporate - Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets

Allens is hiring for an Associate/Senior Associate in their Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets team. The role involves working on complex transactions, including public and private M&A, across various sectors. Candidates should have relevant experience and a desire to develop professionally. This full-time position supports hybrid working arrangements, allowing for both office and remote work flexibility.
Your role You'll be a part of our Chambers Band 1 Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets (MAC) team and work with lawyers across all of our offices. Working closely with our Partners and the wider team, you will gain exposure to the most complex and interesting transactions in the market. At Allens, our structure means you'll get exposure to a number of different Partners within the MAC team and broader firm network and a wide variety of work. We encourage our lawyers to find their niche and specialise in areas they're interested in, while building a strong foundation across their field. As an Associate/Senior Associate in our MAC team you will: Be involved in public and private M&A, private equity, equity capital markets, and corporate advisory and governance work Deliver highly successful outcomes in M&A for leading companies and financial sponsors in Australia and around the world Gain exposure across a broad range of sectors including energy, infrastructure, financial services, health, mining, media, technology and retail This is a permanent, full-time opportunity however we support flexibility, and would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you. We also support a hybrid working model, where working from home, and the office, is part of our norm. About you You will have: Experience in a leading Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets practice, ideally from a leading top tier, national or international firm (we are also open to a combination of private practice and in-house experience). An ability to effectively manage smaller matters and elements of larger matters. Excellent academics. A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others.
