Job Description

Haley & Aldrich is hiring an Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer, or Geologist for their Costa Mesa, CA office. The role involves supporting remediation projects in Southern California, developing client relationships, and assisting project managers with financial and regulatory aspects. Candidates should have a relevant degree, at least 6 years of experience, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, hybrid position.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer or Geologist to assist our Los Angeles/Orange County remediation projects and clients. This full-time, hybrid position is based out of our Costa Mesa, CA office location.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
• Serve as a key member of the environmental group with the ability to step in and immediately assist projects in southern California.
• Work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with challenging projects.
• Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
• Have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in California.
• Be capable of assisting project managers with financial, technical, and regulatory aspects of projects.
• Assist project managers to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
• Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client and regulatory deliverables.
• Be effective in task coordinating assignments and work.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior level field staff.
• Ability to learn quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
• Assist with directing environmental field observation and testing programs.
• Be able to effectively assist project managers with various remediation projects.
• Develop a working understanding of H&A’s other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other services to existing clients.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology MS Degree preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of relevant consulting experience in Southern California with: environmental regulations, environmental investigations and site characterization, remediation technologies, operation and maintenance, and construction.
• Have CA professional registration PE/PG – or can get it within 6 months of hire (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be proficient at writing, technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
• Ability to comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Handbook.
