Job Description
IEA Management Services is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Solar Energy in Newark, DE. This role involves coordinating projects across the U.S. with extensive travel required, often onsite for 8-12 months. Responsibilities include managing project specifications, costs, and quality control. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in Solar or EPC construction. Overview:
Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Project Manager in the Solar Energy sector! In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating exciting projects from the lead phase all the way through to completion.
Location & Travel Details: This is a unique traveling position where you'll have the opportunity to work across the United States on renewable energy projects. Be prepared for extensive travel, as you will be onsite at various project locations, often for 8-12 months on average. We provide a competitive daily per diem to help cover living expenses, along with a vehicle allowance. Routine travel home (rotation) is also part of the package!

Your Responsibilities:
• Coordinate engineering studies and change order requests
• Collaborate with engineers and estimators on project specifications
• Manage submittals and requests for information
• Assist owners and clients with planning and technical questions
• Maintain communication with regional managers about project statuses
• Create and manage subcontracts and purchase orders
• Track job costs and forecast monthly revenue streams
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control on projects
• Identify and resolve any contract disputes
• Establish billing procedures and job cost control
• Review subcontractor applications for payment and approve invoices
• Initiate monthly progress payments to owners and clients
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of five years of experience in Solar or EPC construction, with knowledge of construction techniques and management
Skills & Abilities:
• Commitment to health, safety, and the company's Zero Injury principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, and contracts
• Strong communication skills for presenting information and responding to inquiries
• Ability to perform calculations for various project needs
