Job Description

Appalachian State University seeks an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Technology to teach sustainability and renewable energy courses, expand industry contacts, conduct research, and advise students. Candidates must have a Doctorate in a related field or a Master's with professional licensure. This is a full-time position located in Boone, NC.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses related to sustainability and renewable energy technology. Other responsibilities include expanding program contacts in the renewable energy industry, maintaining an active research agenda, participating in program and departmental service, advising students, and maintaining and enhancing teaching and research labs.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned Doctorate in a related field of technology, science, or engineering required at the time of hire, or a Master’s degree in technology, science, or engineering with professional licensure at the time of hire may also be considered.
