Wateen Telecom Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager for Solar Energy Projects in Karachi, Pakistan. The role involves managing solar PV project lifecycles, conducting feasibility assessments, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Renewable Energy Engineering and 4-6 years of relevant experience. Strong project management skills and proficiency in MS Office are essential. This position is not remote.
Assistant Manager – Solar Energy Projects

Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing the complete lifecycle of solar PV projects from planning to commissioning, serving as KAM Operations.
Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments in coordination with design teams for post-sale.
Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors for execution and coordination.
Review technical drawings, SLDs, and BOQs submitted by design teams and vendors.
Track project milestones and ensure timely delivery of equipment and construction schedules.
Support in preparing project budgets, cost estimations, and financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with local electrical regulations, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies, and QA/QC standards.
Monitor solar plant performance, O&M activities, and support resolution of any technical issues.
Assist in documentation and reporting to stakeholders and management.
Keep updated on new technologies, products, and regulatory trends in the solar energy sector.
Skills Required
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and MS Project.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to technical detail.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of solar components (inverters, modules, BOS) and installation practices.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Renewable Energy Engineering or equivalent.
Master’s in Energy Management (preferred but not mandatory).
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in solar PV project execution or design.
Familiarity with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope) is a plus.
Knowledge of grid-tied, hybrid, BESS, and off-grid solar systems.
