The role of Assistant Forestry Manager offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated forestry team, collaborating closely with the Forestry Manager to guide operations and implement forestry management practices across a portfolio of clients across Yorkshire. Role Responsibilities:
• To assist in the development and implementation of forestry management plans
• To assist in forestry operations; planning, organising and coordinating forestry activities
• To implement operational plans to achieve business objectives
• To develop and maintain strong client relationships with clients and contractors
• To maintain accurate records and reports, assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial matters
• To work collaboratively with the wider professional team
Skills you will need:
Essential:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in forestry or a related subject
• A knowledge and understanding of forestry principles and techniques
• Organised, able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively when required
• Passionate about the sector, eager to embrace training and development
• Excellent IT skills with an understanding of GIS mapping
• Full UK driving licence
