Job Description
Capstone is seeking an experienced Asset Manager for their renewable energy portfolio in Melbourne, VIC. Responsibilities include managing energy market settlements, LGC trading, project finance administration, and stakeholder reporting. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the Australian energy market, strong analytical skills, and a background in project finance. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of A$195K–A$220K annually.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Manager to join Melbourne's leading renewable energy company. As the manager of their growing portfolio of renewable assets, you will oversee energy market settlements, LGC trading, and project finance administration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage energy market settlements and interactions with AEMO, ensuring compliance with market regulations and settlement processes
• Oversee LGC trading and renewable energy certificate management, optimizing revenue streams from environmental certificates
• Administer project finance loan agreements, including conducting Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) testing and ensuring compliance with lender requirements
• Prepare comprehensive financial and operational reports for stakeholders, investors, and lenders
• Manage relationships with O&M contractors, ensuring optimal asset performance and contract compliance
• Support due diligence and transition processes for new asset acquisitions as the company's portfolio expands
Requirements:
• Proven experience in the Australian energy market, with at least 5 years in energy settlements and trading
• Strong understanding of AEMO market processes, LGC trading mechanisms, and O&M contract management
• Extensive experience in project finance, including DSCR testing, covenant compliance, and loan administration
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports for various stakeholders
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with contractors, energy market operators, lenders, and internal teams
• Background in corporate finance, investment banking, or energy asset management preferred
