Department Description

Palmetto Capital is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy and HVAC industries. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, energy storage systems, and home efficiency through advanced heating and cooling technologies. We empower solar and HVAC sales professionals and installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone quality control system.

This position will be based in Charlotte, NC.

Summary of Role
The Asset Management Investor Lead will take ownership of investor reporting for tax equity, debt financing, and joint ventures. This role is responsible for ensuring financial reporting is accurate, transparent, and efficient. The role will work closely with Capital Markets, Finance, and Data Analytics teams, diving into financial structuring, asset management, and large datasets.

The ideal candidate has a background in energy asset management, understands capital markets and financing, and is comfortable handling complex investor reporting.

Strategic & Tactical
• Manages investor reporting and financial tracking for tax equity, debt financing, and joint ventures
• Works across Capital Markets, Palmetto Capital Ops, FP&A, Accounting, and Data Analytics teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial strategies
• Owns the investor reporting process, making sure tax equity, debt, and JV investors get clear, timely financial and performance updates
• Ensures accurate tracking and reporting of financing transaction entities and structuring
• Extracts, transforms, and loads large datasets from multiple sources to support reporting and financial insights
• Helps structure, monitor, and ensure compliance for financial transactions
• Leverages financial and accounting knowledge to analyze asset performance and financing structures

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Data Analytics
• 4+ years of experience in energy asset management, project finance, or renewable energy finance
• Strong understanding of capital markets, debt financing, tax equity, and project finance in solar
• Demonstrated experience with financial concepts, transaction structures, and investor reporting
• Ability to extract, transform, and manage large datasets
• Strong cross functional collaboration and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with strategic approach to reporting and asset management
