We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to using finance as a force for good and doing what's right for our clients.About the workplaceAs an Analyst, Climate Finance, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sustainable investment decisions that accelerate the transition to a greener economy. You'll dive deep into financial modeling, underwriting, and impact reporting, working closely with senior leaders to structure climate finance transactions and optimize portfolio performance.This permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity Community Investment Bank head office location and your Ontario based home office. This role may require you to work in-office at least once a week.A typical day will involve:Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and statementsSupport deal structuring and underwriting functions related to climate finance transactionsQuarterly financial and impact reporting preparationWith oversight from the Senior Associate, maintain and regularly update financial modelsWorking with the Senior Associate and management team, identify and implement technology and process improvements related to transactions, reporting and operationsWith oversight from the Director, Clean Energy, lead ongoing asset management activities including communication with existing clients, maintaining operational financial models and checking for operational performance and covenantsFacilitate transactions (funding, payments) and maintain accounting records for the loan portfolioAs requested, support the preparation of investment memos, term sheets and associated materials (such as investment summaries and primers)As requested, support due diligence on transactions, communicating with independent consultants and drafting credit applicationsHelp streamline the Company's processes and workflows, integrating software and technology solutionsYou HaveBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field2-3+ years of experience in financial analysis and modelling.Experience in underwriting and evidence of strong business and financial analytical skillsExperience in sustainable investing or climate finance is a nice-to-have.Strong communications skills (oral and written)Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines.You Are: Organized - you can prioritize your work and execute it with great attention to detail A professional analyst - you are able to identify risks and opportunities that may impact the business unit by reviewing information, detecting anomalies, and investigating and resolving discrepancies. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity.
