Director of Alumni Relations
The Director of Alumni Relations plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing activities that engage external constituencies through programs, events, solicitations, and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create strategic engagement opportunities to deepen connections with the school and foster long-term reputation growth.
• Develop annual fund goals, design activities, and drive performance. Establish leadership giving programs to sustain the school's fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with senior staff on strategic planning, program development, performance analysis, volunteer management, staff development, marketing efforts, and logistics.
• Design and execute alumni and fundraising programs, events, and activities to grow the annual fund and leadership donor base, enhance customer service experiences, improve content knowledge, and facilitate personal growth within the alumni and donor community.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward leadership gift donors. Craft proposals for solicitations of individual and corporate prospects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
• 5-10 years of experience in Development and Alumni Relations or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of the campus' vision, goals, objectives, achievements, infrastructure, policies, and programs.
• Excellent project management skills, including leadership, direction, mentoring, evaluation, and motivation of staff and volunteers.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including diverse constituents from historically marginalized communities.
• Proven organizational, strategic planning, and event planning skills.
• Solid understanding of organizational concepts and principles associated with managing a customer-service based program and demonstrated persuasive writing and marketing communication skills.
