As an Alternative Energy Project Manager, you will lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of energy projects. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution: Lead the end-to-end management of alternative energy projects (solar, energy storage, etc.), including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, government agencies, and suppliers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Ensure that projects comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project teams, ensuring that all members are aligned with the project's goals and objectives. Budget & Cost Control: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial targets. Performance Tracking: Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and clients. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and contractual specifications. Management System Develop and Evolution: Build on existing project management tools and document processes, provide governance tools and evolve the system for constant improvement and evolution.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Construction Management or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in alternative energy project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
• * Proven experience in managing large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, battery storage, etc.).
• Strong understanding of alternative energy technologies, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Certifications:
• * PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications are highly desirable.
• OSHA Safety Training (30 Hour)
