The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking an Administrative Officer (GS-0341-7/9) for its Northern New Mexico Refuges Complex in Las Vegas, NM. This full-time position involves providing administrative support, assisting with budget formulation and execution, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. JOB SUMMARY: This position is a Administrative Officer, GS- 0341-7/9 working in Las Vegas, New Mexico for the R2-Northern New Mexico Refuges Complex. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Administrative Officer your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Serves as an administrative resource on administrative issues for managers and staff. Responsible for research and development of options, alternatives, and solutions in order to address both continuing and/or one time issues and problems. Assists with all tasks and activities dealing with budget formulation, budget execution and tracking, and end-of-year closeout. Provides advice and guidance to managers in budget and finance areas. Assists in budget formulation, prepare projections and estimates and directs and/or enters data into appropriate forms. Reviews rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for budget submissions to ensure compliance. Assists with the acquisition of necessary supplies, equipment, and labor to meet office needs, and ensures that purchases are in accordance with Federal procurement regulations and within delegated authority.
