About the position
SCS Engineers is seeking an Accredited GHG CARB Lead Verifier to support its greenhouse gas verification and sustainability practices across the United States. This role involves conducting GHG verification and validation in compliance with various regulations, including CARB's Mandatory Reporting and Low Carbon Fuel Standards. The position offers flexibility to work hybrid or remotely, depending on the location of the candidate.
Responsibilities
• Conduct GHG verification under CARB's Mandatory Reporting Regulation (MRR).

• Perform Cap-and-Trade project verification under CARB's Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS).
,
• Manage GHG Emissions Reporting under Oregon's CFP and GHG Emissions Programs.
,
• Oversee GHG reporting under California, ODEQ, and federal GHG Reporting Program (GHGRP).
,
• Provide GHG and sustainability reporting and validation services for corporate ESG programs.
,
• Develop Climate Action Plans and Sustainability Plans and Reports.
,
• Create verification/validation plans and risk-based sampling plans for GHG projects.
,
• Complete calculations and compile GHG verification findings logs.
,
• Review compliance issues and prepare permitting documentation.
,
• Conduct facility inspections and GHG verification site visits.
,
• Engage in client interaction and proposal preparation as needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or a related Science degree.
,
• CARB verifier accreditation is required.
,
• Experience in GHG, Sustainability, Air Quality, or related disciplines is required.
,
• Demonstrated knowledge in GHG Inventories and/or Air Quality Compliance is required.
,
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
