Job Description

ICF International is seeking an Energy Efficiency Account Manager for their Utility Program Services Division in Dover, DE. The role involves outreach and support for energy efficiency programs, conducting site visits, and maintaining relationships with trade allies in the home improvement industry. Responsibilities include program promotion, data analysis, and ensuring project quality. Local travel of 20% to 50% is required, and a reliable vehicle is necessary.
About the position

We are currently seeking an Energy Efficiency Account Manager to join our Utility Program Services Division to provide critical support and outreach services for Delaware based energy efficiency programs. This role is essential in conducting trade ally outreach and recruitment across Delaware's Delmarva Power Light territory. The Account Manager will present program offerings and distribute marketing materials to raise awareness across multiple strategic trade ally locations and retail stores, including homebuilder associations, building departments, permit offices, lumberyards, and more. The position involves conducting strategic field-based site visits with trade ally HERS Raters and Home Builders to ensure Quality Assurance/Quality Control and provide forecasting updates on program participating residential new construction projects. The Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility-sponsored energy efficiency projects are successfully executed. This role requires effective communication with both technical trade allies and non-technical audiences. Additionally, the Account Manager will attend events to build and maintain relationships with key market actors in the home improvement industry, including architects, engineers, contractors, energy raters, consultants, home inspectors, public officials, public interest groups, and customers. The role also includes tracking and maintaining a database of new construction starts to report on market activity and perform outreach to key project stakeholders such as developers, builders, and architects. Strong ongoing communication with participating HERS raters, home builders, contractors, and consultants is crucial to assess their needs and receive feedback on their experience with the program. The Account Manager will conduct regular data analysis related to project completions, enrollment pipelines, and participant information, assisting in the development and maintenance of the Performance Dashboard. Desktop Quality Assurance/Quality Control will also be performed to review and verify energy model accuracy and adherence to program standards, utilizing data collected during site visits and/or project building plans. Finally, the Account Manager will prepare status reports to accurately describe and monitor progress towards program goals on contractor/consultant participation and the completion of eligible projects. A reliable vehicle for local travel is required, with travel expectations ranging from 20% to 50% of the time, and mileage reimbursement is provided.

• Perform desktop Quality Assurance/Quality Control to review and verify energy model accuracy and adherence to program standards.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Energy Systems, Sustainability or related fields (or equivalent experience).

• 1+ years of related work experience with energy efficiency, residential construction, or building science.
,
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Nice-to-haves
• HERS, BPI, LEED or Passive House credentials.
,
• Experience with field diagnostic tools, specifically a blower door and duct blaster.
,
• Familiarity with energy modeling software platforms such as REM/Rate or Ekotrope.
,
• Building and maintaining relationships with key market actors in the residential construction industry.
,
• Knowledge of residential energy-efficient building applications, renewable technologies, or high-performance construction practices and technologies.

• Public speaking experience.
