beBeeEconomist is hiring an Assistant Professor of Economics specializing in Applied Microeconomics and Environmental Economics for a tenure-track position in Long Beach, CA. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and engaging in departmental service. Environmental Economics Position

We are seeking an Assistant Professor of Economics with specialization in Applied Microeconomics and Environmental Economics. This is a tenure-track position that involves teaching various undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and engaging in service to the department and university.

Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Environmental Economics, Transportation Economics, Microeconomics, and related subjects.
• Develop and engage in research, scholarly and creative activities leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic and professional conferences.
• Participate in service to the department, college, university, and profession.
• Participate in the department's community-engagement efforts.

Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Economics or related field with specialization in Applied Microeconomics and Environmental Economics.
• Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the college level.
• Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and peer-reviewed publication.
• Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including low socio-economic and first-generation students.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Established record of effective teaching.
• A well-defined research agenda.
• Experience successfully working with populations demographically and/or socioeconomically similar to the CSULB student body.
