SECONDARY SCIENCE TEACHER

USD 481 Rural Vista is seeking a secondary Science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year in White City, Kansas. Classes are small with most classes having less than 15 students.

This position currently teaches 8th-grade science, Earth science, biology, chemistry, and an upper level science elective. Must have a valid teaching license.

Newly hired teachers may choose to have their salaries divided into 13 payments, so they receive their first paycheck on August 15th.

White City High School and Hope High School coop together for sports and activities. Together, we are known as the Rural Vista Heat. We have several coaching/sponsorships available as well.

We currently offer $500 towards a single health plan through Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The district also provides 12 days a year for sick or personal leave plus an additional 3 professional days of your choice.

Hope and White City schools are in a cooperative agreement for all athletic teams including; Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Track and Scholars Bowl. The Rural Vista Heat is a member of the Wheat State League. Both boys and girls teams have had tremendous success since the co-op began over 12 years ago, with multiple State tournament berths.
