3rd Shift Safety Trainer

Capstone Logistics is hiring a 3rd Shift Safety Trainer in Canton, MS, offering $16.75/hour. The Safety Support Technician reports to the Capstone Logistics Safety Supervisor. This role primarily provide focus on safety and customer service-including but not limited to:
• Inspect, test and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure they follow safety standards and government regulations. (Audits)
• Evaluate programs on workplace safety and health.
• Demonstrate the correct use of safety equipment.
• Conduct safety meetings and trainings to ensure facility safety compliance.
• Integral member of team that conducts post-accident investigations and makes recommendations to prevent accident from reoccurring. Assists operation management on accident documentation.
• Driver retraining and recertification when necessary.
• First Responder for shift.
• Informs Leadership team of all aspects of plant safety and health issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management and/or Supervisor

Requirements:
• High-energy individual with a strong work ethic, the work is fast paced and very physical
• Sit-down and Standup Forklift Certification
• Lift and carry a minimum of up to 25-75lbs, materials handled vary
• Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
• All candidates should be over the age of 18 and will have to undergo a pre-employment drug test and background check
