New Jersey Resources is offering a Business Development Internship for college students in Wall Township, NJ. This 10-week program focuses on market research and financial analysis in the clean energy sector. Interns will collaborate with various teams, gain hands-on experience, and develop skills in Excel and financial modeling. Candidates should be pursuing a relevant degree and be available full-time during the summer. Hybrid/onsite work is required.

NJR Clean Energy Ventures, a subsidiary of NJR is seeking a Business Development Intern to assist the Business Development team in initiatives by performing market research and financial analysis relating to the business operations.

What you will do:

Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.
• Collaborate with a variety of internal teams, including Business Development, Asset Management, Finance and Engineering to support operational performance and other initiatives
• Provide research support as business development team investigates new markets
• Use corporate financial models to evaluate project opportunities
• Perform variance analysis of project financials and historical asset performance
• Use MS Office tools to communicate results and insights in charts, graphs and presentations

Requirements:
• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related qualitative discipline (Finance, Engineering, Economics, Energy or Business preferred) entering your junior or senior year
• Strong interest in the renewable and clean energy sector
• Strong computer skills, strong ability to use Excel
• Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)
• Ability to work hybrid/onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
