255 Battery Commander

The role of 255 Battery Commander at Serve in Somerset, UK involves commanding the Battery, providing advice, managing personnel training, recruitment, and administrative affairs. The position requires ICSC qualifications and JTAC certification. The incumbent must travel weekly to Bath and attend training events across the UK and overseas, with a commitment of at least 120 RSDs annually.
1. Command 255 (SY) Battery Royal Artillery, a Reserve Sub-Unit of 100 RA
2. Provide ALI and JTAC specific advice to CO 100 RA and Comd JALO where necessary
3. Ensure all Battery personnel obtain/maintain respective Trained and Qualified status and strive to renew appropriate ALI Currency and Competency
4. Career manage and develop all personnel under command through effective and timely MS and CLM
5. Plan and execute recruitment and retention activities to ensure the Battery remains staffed to meet its outputs
6. Ensure all Battery financial and administrative affairs are managed appropriately within relevant Service regulations
7. Provide support to 100RA and 1 DRSX as directed
