DPDgroup UK is hiring a Sustainable Logistics Driver for a permanent, full-time position in Newtown, UK. The role involves loading, delivering, and collecting parcels while providing excellent customer service. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months. As a collection and delivery driver you represent the business every day and are vital to providing a service that genuinely makes a difference to our customers. Some previous driving experience would be preferred but driving experience is not an essential requirement to join our team. Just bring yourself and a positive attitude, plus a full UK driving licence held for 12 months or more, and we will do the rest! DPD is a Valuable 500 company and a Disability Confident Employer As a Collections and Delivery Driver for DPD, you'll play a crucial role in our operations, often serving as the first point of contact with our customers. Your responsibilities will include: ● Starting your shift at the depot, where you'll be responsible for efficiently loading parcels onto your 3.5 tonne van according to your delivery schedule ● Safely operating and maintaining your assigned vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies ● Executing multi-drop collections and deliveries throughout your designated area, ensuring timely and accurate service ● Providing exceptional customer service when handing over or collecting parcels, representing DPD in a professional and friendly manner ● Utilising our mobile technology to update delivery statuses, capture customer signatures, and manage your route effectively ● Handling parcels with care and attention, ensuring they remain in pristine condition throughout the delivery process ● Promptly reporting any issues or delays to your supervisor and taking appropriate action to resolve them ● Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any incidents that occur during your shift ● Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper use of provided uniform and PPE Your role is vital in upholding DPD's reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction.
