Sherwin-Williams is offering a 12-week Environmental Health & Safety Summer Internship in Fernley, NV, starting May 19, 2025. The intern will assist the EHS Manager with safety programs, employee training, and project coordination. Candidates must be at least 18, enrolled in college, and have a minimum GPA of 2.8. The position requires up to 40 hours of work per week and does not provide housing.
Description

The EHS Intern is “hosted” by the Environmental Health and Safety Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities. This is a 12-week summer internship. Please note that we do not provide housing.

This Internship begins on May 19, 2025. Interns will report to the Fernley, NV Plant.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.

The EHS Internship is designed to assist the site EHS Manager with day-to-day tasks and special projects. The intern typically does not manage his/her own projects, but rather assists other team members in achieving goals.
• Implementing safety related programs at the site  
• Employee training  
• Coordination of safety and occupational health projects  
• Promoting safe actions throughout the organization  
• Analyzing accident and incident records  
• Special projects as identified by the Safety Manager   

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:  
• Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future 
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university at the time of the internship 
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Outlook) 
• Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week, up to 12 weeks.



Preferred Qualifications: 
• Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing/Procurement or related majors
• Sophomore, junior or senior class standing
• Previous Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related field
• Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-op
• Previous internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division
• Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
